2026 Student Scholarship Application

The Valley View Education Foundation will award scholarships to graduating seniors and alumni who wish to pursue additional educational opportunities.

To be considered, this scholarship application must be submitted no later than Wednesday, March 24, 2026.

The entire application packet (checklist below) must be submitted in its entirety to:

IMPORTANT: You may type your answers on a separate sheet of paper, but make certain you provide your signature and date on the pages you type.

Scholarship Packet Checklist:

  1. Completed Scholarship Application
  2. Transcripts from your high school, college or trade school
  3. Recommendation Letters (2) – You are required to submit two letters of recommendation from individuals who can speak to your academic achievements, character, and work ethic. These letters must come from one or more of the following:
    — A teacher, professor, or academic mentor
    — A school counselor
    — A supervisor or employee

    Important Note: Letters from personal friends or family members will not be accepted. If a letter is submitted from a personal friend or family member, it will be disqualified and may impact your application.

  4. Scholarship Application Essay – As part of your scholarship application, you are required to submit a well-written, thoughtful, and grammatically correct essay outlining your educational and career goals, as well as why you believe you deserve this scholarship. Your response should be a minimum of 250 words, though you may go beyond this if needed.

    In your essay, be sure to address the following:
    — Your educational and career aspirations – What do you plan to study, and how do you envision your future career?
    — Why are you a strong candidate for this scholarship – What qualities, achievements, or experiences make you deserving of this financial support?
    — Any extenuating or unusual circumstances – If there are personal challenges, financial hardships, or unique life experiences that have impacted your educational journey, feel free to share them.

    IMPORTANT: This essay is an important component of your application and should reflect your best effort. Proofread carefully, edit for clarity, and ensure your writing is polished. Additionally, please include your full name and the date at the top of your essay.

PLEASE NOTE:  Once we receive your complete application packet, our scholarship committee will carefully review all submitted materials. After this initial review, we will contact selected applicants to schedule an in-person interview as part of the final selection process.

Important: All required application components must be submitted by the deadline to be considered for an interview. Incomplete or late applications will not be reviewed.
